Safadi and U.S. Official Discuss Ceasefire Efforts and Regional Developments

Amman: Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi met with Jeremy Lewin, U.S. Under-Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom at the State Department. The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States and addressing the latest regional developments.

According to Jordan News Agency, discussions centered on ongoing efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the immediate and adequate delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip. The officials also talked about implementing all provisions of the ceasefire agreement. Safadi highlighted Jordan's appreciation for U.S. President Donald Trump's efforts to broker the ceasefire agreement and his proposal to end the conflict in Gaza. He emphasized the importance of facilitating aid delivery and reconstruction while preventing the displacement of Palestinians and supporting a firm stance against the annexation of the West Bank.
