School Calendar for Academic Year 2026/2027 Released by Ministry of Education

Amman: The Ministry of Education on Tuesday announced the school calendar for the upcoming academic year 2026/2027 for Jordan's public, private, and UNRWA schools.

According to Jordan News Agency, teaching staff will commence work on Sunday, August 16, 2026, while students are set to begin classes for the first semester on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The calendar outlines significant dates for the school year, providing details on exam schedules and breaks.

For students in grades 4 to 12, final exams for the first semester will take place from Tuesday, December 15, 2026, until Monday, January 4, 2027. Following the exam period, a winter break is scheduled to start on Tuesday, January 5, and will extend through Saturday, January 23, 2027.

The second semester is slated to begin on Sunday, January 24, 2027. The Ministry has also detailed the final examination schedule for the second semester. Twelfth-grade students will have their exams from Wednesday, May 5, to Saturday, May 29, 2027. Meanwhile, exams for students in grades 4 to 11 are scheduled from Sunday, May 30, to Sunday, June 20, 2027.

The Ministry announced that the student summer vacation will start on Monday, June 21, 2027. It also confirmed that the total number of school days for both semesters will be 207.
