Senate and Lower House Leaders Pledge Legislative Cooperation

Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez and House Speaker Mazen Qadi affirmed their "strong commitment" to maintain cooperation and coordination between the two chambers of Jordan's Parliament.

According to Jordan News Agency, the duo's pledge is "particularly crucial" to expedite the debate of all legislation submitted by the government for the Kingdom's comprehensive modernization process, mainly its political, economic, and administrative dimensions, within the framework of the comprehensive modernization project led by His Majesty King Abdullah II.

During Fayez's meeting with Qadi at the Senate headquarters on Sunday, the two sides noted the importance of integrated efforts among all state institutions to ensure the "success" of the comprehensive modernization project across its three tracks.

The discussions also covered the region's current situation and the significance of integrated work among all national institutions, in both the public and private sectors, to enable Jordan to confront the challenges posed by the current regional circumstances.

Additionally, the statement added that the meeting discussed the ongoing efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II to preserve the Kingdom's security and stability and defend just Arab issues, mainly the Palestinian cause.
