Amman: The Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Operations and Training on Saturday conducted a field inspection of elite military units deployed along the northern front of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army's Northern Military Region.

According to Jordan News Agency, the official, accompanied by the region's commander, received detailed briefings on the operational duties and responsibilities of various formations and units stationed along the border. The briefings highlighted coordination mechanisms and the execution of mission-critical tasks to safeguard national security.

During the visit, the Assistant for Operations and Training met with officers and personnel from different service branches and conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for their steadfast efforts in maintaining the security and stability of the Kingdom's borders.

As part of the inspection, the official also visited the Royal 12th Border Guard Battalion, a key unit within the Northern Military Region. A unit commander provided a comprehensive briefing attended by senior military officers outlining the battalion's core responsibilities, operational readiness, and logistical and training performance.
