Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa held discussions on Thursday with Hoda El Bakr, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) and Executive Director of the Arab Network for NGOs (ANNGO), to explore cooperation in social development fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa emphasized that Jordan, guided by His Majesty King Abdullah II, prioritizes childhood, family affairs, social protection, and the rights of persons with disabilities as part of its modernization strategy. During the meeting, Bani Mustafa highlighted how royal directives have played a crucial role in elevating Jordan's social care services to meet both national and international standards.
The minister underscored the significant contributions of the ACCD and ANNGO in supporting childhood and family matters, executing protection and empowerment programs, and enhancing social policies across the Arab region. She also detailed the ministry's ongoing efforts to improve the quality and accessibility of social services through collaboration with national, regional, and international partners.
Bani Mustafa stressed the necessity of coordination and knowledge exchange among government bodies, civil society organizations, and international partners to deliver effective and sustainable social services to those in need.
El Bakr, on her part, highlighted the importance of partnering with the Ministry of Social Development to implement social programs, especially those aimed at vulnerable populations. She expressed a keen interest in further strengthening cooperation in the future.
