Amman: South Korea expressed its deep concern over Israel’s decision to expand settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The South Korean Foreign Ministry said it was deeply concerned that Israel’s decision could undermine efforts to reach the two-state solution, Yonhap News Agency reported Friday.
The government of South Korea called for stopping any action that leads to an escalation of tension in the West Bank, amid the recent high death toll among civilians due to the escalation of violence in this region.
The far-right government of Benjamin Netanyahu is moving forward with the policy of expansion by building settlements, and decided on February 12 to legalize 9 settlements in the West Bank.
