South Korean Ambassador Commends Jordan’s Humanitarian Efforts and Stability

Amman:South Korean Ambassador to Jordan Kim Pil-woo has commended Jordan's humanitarian efforts and its dedication to assisting and hosting people during crises, highlighting the nation as a model of solidarity and generosity.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ambassador shared these remarks during a reception organized by the South Korean Embassy to celebrate Korea's National Day. The event was attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Namrouqa, representing the Jordanian government, along with various officials, diplomats, business and civil society figures, journalists, and other guests.

Ambassador Kim emphasized the strong relationship between Jordan and South Korea, noting more than sixty years of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect supported by diplomatic, commercial, and cultural exchanges. He underscored that both countries are committed to promoting security, peace, and development, contributing to a more stable and prosperous global community.

In his address, Kim also highlighted the significance of Korea's National Foundation Day, known as Gaecheonjeol, which marks the founding of the first Korean kingdom nearly 5,000 years ago. He noted that the occasion embodies values centered on global benefit, respect for others, and the promotion of human rights and peace.

As his diplomatic tenure in Jordan comes to an end, Kim lauded the country's security and stability amid regional turbulence and praised the hospitality of the Jordanian people. He expressed that his experience in Jordan will leave a lasting impression and that the country will continue to hold a special place in his memories.

During the event, a video presentation featured Jordanian officials, specialists, and students discussing the robust partnership and cooperation between Jordan and South Korea across various fields, both at the official and people-to-people levels.
