Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, Aranzazu Banon Davalos, handed over equipment to 6 municipalities in the northern Governorate of Mafraq, to contribute to enhance the municipalities capabilities against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Davalos said that the provision of equipment was supported by the European Union (EU), the German government and the Spanish cooperation within the “Qudra 2” program, pointing out that all countries appreciate Jordan’s role towards Syrian refugees and challenges it is going through, lauding the strong relationship between Jordan and Spain.

Head of the Greater Mafraq Municipal Committee, Hassan Jabour, said that this support helps the municipalities to provide the best services, especially with the presence of a large number of Syrian refugees.

He commended the EU and organizations’ role in providing support to contribute to achieving sustainable development.
