Al-Mazroub:North Kordofan Four civilians from the same family were reportedly killed by members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan's North Kordofan state.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Emergency Lawyers group documented the arrival of an RSF force at the family's home in Al-Mazroub on Monday as they attempted to loot the property. The family resisted, leading to the RSF returning the following day and killing four family members.
The Emergency Lawyers group condemned the incident as a 'grave violation of the right to life' and highlighted the ongoing risks to civilians and their property due to continued attacks amid a lack of accountability. The group has called for an independent and transparent investigation, accountability for those responsible, and measures to protect civilians and their property.
There has been no immediate comment from the RSF regarding these allegations. Additionally, the Sudan Doctors Network reported that 25 civilians were killed by RSF forces in Umm Badr in North Kordofan on October 3, though the group did not comment further on that claim.
Recently, the Sudanese army has made significant advances in much of North Kordofan following clashes with the RSF. The army is nearing control of most of the state, with only a few areas, such as Umm Badr and Jabra al-Sheikh, remaining under RSF control. The conflict between the army and RSF, which began in 2023 over military integration disagreements, has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and displaced 13 million people across Sudan.
