Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde Tuesday said Stockholm would abide by the clauses in the tripartite MoU between Turkey, Sweden and Finland regarding the latter’s accession to NATO, according to Anadolu Agency.

During a press conference in Brussels following the protocol signing requesting the accession of Sweden and Finland to the alliance, Linde said, “We will fully comply with the tripartite memorandum, and we will have a joint mechanism. I hope the Turkish parliament would ratify it quickly.”

On June 28, Turkey, Sweden and Finland signed a tripartite MoU on the membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Madrid after the European countries pledged to respond to Ankara’s demands.
