Riyadh: President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Fanatseh, participated in the second Global Labor Market Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The conference serves as a platform for research on labor markets, bringing together labor ministers, union leaders, and employers from around the world.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event fosters the exchange of expertise, promotes dialogue, and supports the creation of a global labor ecosystem in collaboration with organizations such as the International Labor Organization (ILO), the World Bank, and the United Nations Development Program.
During the conference, Fanatseh engaged in discussions with Director-General of the ILO, Gilbert F. Houngbo, Secretary-General of the International Trade Union Confederation, Luc Triangle, and several Arab and international trade union leaders.
The conference focuses on global labor market issues, aiming to stimulate dialogue on the future of labor markets, enhance education and training, ensure equitable job opportunities, and boost international cooperation.
Key topics of discussion included skills development, the impact of digital technologies on jobs and wages, and the significance of skill-based jobs in increasing future labor market efficiency.
