Amman: A 5.2 magnitude quake Saturday hit the Nigde province in Turkey, according to the Kandilli Observatory And Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI).

KOERI added that the quake epicentre was in Bor town, about 350 km west of the Turkish-Syrian border area that was impacted, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Before this quake, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Agency (AFAD) had announced at least seven aftershocks, with a magnitude of more than 4 degrees since Friday evening in Turkey, including the south, which was hit by the quake.

No casualties have been reported.
