Turkish and US Presidents Discuss Key Global Issues Including Venezuela and Gaza

Washington: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump held a phone call on Monday to discuss various bilateral and global issues. The conversation focused on strengthening relations between Turkey and the United States, along with cooperation in the defense industry. The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global matters, with particular emphasis on the situations in Venezuela and the Gaza Strip.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, Erdogan emphasized the importance of stability in Venezuela during his discussion with Trump. He highlighted Ankara's concerns, stating that Venezuela should not be allowed to descend into instability. Erdogan reassured Trump that Turkey and the Turkish people are committed to supporting the Venezuelan populace in their pursuit of prosperity, peace, and development.

The Turkish Communications Directorate reported that the dialogue between the two leaders also included discussions on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in defense. The conversation reflects ongoing efforts by both nations to address critical international issues collaboratively.
