Two Children Die in Drowning Incident in Irbid

Irbid: Civil Defence diving and ambulance teams in western Irbid responded on Wednesday evening to a drowning incident involving two brothers, aged 8 and 9, in an agricultural pond in the Al Zamalia area, Irbid. The Public Security Directorate (PSD) media office stated that diving teams recovered the bodies of the two children from the pond, while ambulance teams transported them to Abu Ubaida Governmental Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD urged Jordanians to closely monitor children and prevent them from approaching agricultural ponds or rainwater bodies. The warning highlighted the dangers these bodies of water pose, emphasizing the importance of vigilance to prevent similar incidents in the future.
