Mafraq: Two teenagers of Arab nationality drowned on Monday in an agricultural pond in Mafraq, according to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate. The tragic incident involved two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, who lost their lives in a six-meter-deep pond located in Dufayneh within the Mafraq Governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, the incident was reported to the Mafraq Civil Defense operations room, prompting an immediate response from divers. The divers managed to pull the teenagers from the pond and transported them to the Mafraq Government Hospital. Unfortunately, both were pronounced dead upon arrival.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that an investigation will commence to determine the cause of the accident, aiming to uncover the circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
