Ukraine and Moldova Discuss European Integration and Counter Hybrid Threats

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday met with his Moldovan counterpart Maia Sandu to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation, countering 'hybrid threats from Russia,' and advancing their shared path toward European integration. In a statement on X, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine's current priority is to achieve a full 30-day ceasefire, which he described as 'a foundation for diplomacy' amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.

According to Anadolu Agency, the leaders also exchanged views on regional energy security and the impact of recent European elections on political developments across the continent. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude towards Sandu and the Moldovan people for their unwavering support for Ukraine, highlighting their readiness to continue advancing together in the European integration process.

Zelenskyy and Sandu have maintained regular consultations in recent months, underscoring the strategic alignment between Kyiv and Chisinau. Their discussions reflect a unified stance against external threats and a commitment to a collective European future.
