UN Rapporteur Condemn Israeli Fire on Diplomatic Delegation in Jenin

Amman: United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, on Wednesday condemned Israeli forces for opening fire on a diplomatic delegation of over 25 Arab and European ambassadors in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. Albanese expressed dismay, noting, "Many were shocked to realize that the Israeli military does not distinguish between international diplomats and politicians," adding that this might reflect a lack of understanding about the true nature of the Israeli army and the realities on the ground in the occupied territories.

According to Jordan News Agency, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health Tlaleng Mofokeng accused Israel of disregarding international law and committing acts of genocide against the people of Gaza. "Israel cannot use food and medicine as weapons of war in its campaign against Gaza," she stated, stressing that such actions constitute grave violations of international humanitarian norms.
