Arab Parliament Condemns Israeli Attack on Diplomatic Delegation in Jenin

Amman: Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's act of opening fire on a diplomatic delegation during its visit to the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, calling the incident disgraceful and a blatant violation of international law and the Vienna Conventions governing diplomatic relations.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Yamahi stated that the attack constitutes a dangerous escalation and an unjustified provocation that reflects the irresponsible and aggressive policies of the Israeli occupation not only toward the Palestinian people, but now extending to official and diplomatic delegations, posing a grave challenge to the international community.

He emphasized the urgent need to provide international protection for diplomatic and humanitarian missions operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, urging the international community, especially the UN Security Council and the United Nations, to fulfill their responsibilities in putting an end to such violations and holding Israel accountable for its repeated breaches of international law and UN resolutions.

Al-Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. He also called on all international actors to pressure Israel to halt what he described as a genocidal war, allow the urgent entry of humanitarian and medical aid, and end its occupation of Palestinian territories.
