Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Sunday that it is suspending aid deliveries into the Gaza Strip through the main cargo crossing following incidents of armed gangs looting relief convoys. The disruption affects the humanitarian operation carried out through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing. According to Jordan News Agency, the head of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini, stated that the operation has become unfeasible due to the Israeli blockade, restrictions, and ongoing security issues. Lazzarini emphasized Israel's responsibility, as the occupying power, to ensure the protection of relief workers and supplies. The decision to halt aid deliveries was described as "hard," given the worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza. The suspension of aid deliveries is expected to exacerbate the already critical situation, especially in northern Gaza. The Israeli army has isolated this region over the past two months, leaving hundreds of thousands of people to endure har sh winter conditions in tents and heavily depend on food aid.
