Kuwait City: Leaders and representatives of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states called for an end to war crimes in Gaza, the displacement of its residents, and the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. They reaffirmed their steadfast positions on the Palestinian cause and their support for the Palestinian people's sovereignty over all territories occupied since June 1967, emphasizing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. According to Jordan News Agency, in the "Kuwait Declaration" issued during the 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council hosted by Kuwait on Sunday, the leaders condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon. They warned of the grave consequences of its continuation and the expansion of the conflict, which could have severe repercussions for the region's people and global peace and security. The Council demanded an immediate end to killings, collective punishment in Gaza, forced displacement of its population, and the de struction of civilian infrastructure, including healthcare facilities, schools, and places of worship. The Supreme Council also welcomed the temporary ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and called for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the return of displaced persons to their homes.
