AMMAN: The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued an advisory alerting citizens to the potential development of heavy fog in the eastern plains and highlands during late night and early morning hours. The warning highlights the risk of significantly reduced horizontal visibility, urging residents to exercise caution while traveling.
According to Jordan News Agency, the JMD’s statement advises drivers to adopt several safety measures to mitigate risks associated with the fog. These include reducing speed, using fog-specific vehicle lights, and avoiding high beams that can impair vision further. The department also recommends maintaining a safe distance between vehicles and advises motorists to stop at a secure location if visibility becomes too poor to continue driving safely.
