Youth Ministry SG inspects youth facilities in Jerash

Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth, Hussein Jbour, on Wednesday inspected a number of youth and sports facilities in Jerash Governorate (northern Amman). Jbour met with Jerash Governorm Firas Al-Fa'our and discussed priorities for advancing youth work and the ministry's plans to develop its centers and youth programs. Jbour began his tour with a visit to the Jerash Youth House and meeting heads and supervisors of youth centers participating in the "Introduction to Youth Work in Jordan" training program, organized by the ministry in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Jbour also visited the Jerash Sports Complex and inspected the construction of the semi-Olympic swimming pool and the expansion of the seating capacity at the complex. He participated in a dialog session with heads of sports clubs held at the Al-Kitta Sports Club. During the session, Jbour emphasized the importance of sports, youth and social activities in promoting youth work. He conclud ed his tour by visiting the new building of the new Shabat Baleila Youth Center and the Al-Nahla Sports Club, stressing the importance of clubs' role and their sports, cultural and social mission in the governorate. The Secretary-General was accompanied by Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Majed Osaila, and Jerash Youth Director, Hamza Al-Aqeeli. Source: Jordan News Agency
