A meeting was held today, Sunday, for the State of Law Coalition Parliamentary Bloc, in the presence of the leader of the Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, to discuss the political situation in the country and the laws to be legislated in the coming period.
The State of Law Coalition elected Representative Yasser al-Maliki as head of the Coalition bloc in the House of Representatives, replacing Representative Atwan al-Atwani.
A brief statement by the Coalition stated, "The State of Law Coalition elected, during its meeting today, Representative Yasser Al-Maliki as head of the State of Law bloc in Parliament, instead of Representative Atwan Al-Atwani."
