Baghdad, Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani praised the national stances of the Iraqi tribes and their standing alongside the security forces in fighting terrorism.
A statement from his media office stated that Al-Sudani received, today, Saturday, a delegation of tribal sheikhs and notables in the governorates of the Middle Euphrates, and the delegation reviewed the social and living reality of their governorates, the requirements of the people there for services, and their aspiration to improve the living and economic reality.”
Al-Sudani welcomed the tribal delegation, praising the national positions and social roles of the Iraqi tribes, and their standing alongside the security forces in fighting terrorism and confronting the various dangers that threaten the country and its people.
Al-Sudani also stressed, according to the statement, the role of tribal sheikhs in supporting the government and its institutions in implementing its plans and programmes, and the support they constitute for the state in order to achieve societal stability and security throughout Iraq.
The Prime Minister called on tribal sheikhs to continue making efforts and coordinating with government committees in order to eliminate tribal conflicts, which have become a reprehensible phenomenon, threaten the social fabric and security in the governorates, and hinder the implementation of the government’s plans for construction and development, which affects the reality of the governorates and the future of their people.”
For their part, the tribal sheikhs expressed a responsible national spirit in supporting the goals set by the government program in providing citizens with decent living conditions, fighting corruption, providing decent services, and everything that contributes to supporting the stability of the country.
