Al-Sudani: We reject attempts to empty the Gaza Strip of its people, and there is no room at all to talk about resettlement or creating camps

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s rejection of attempts to empty the Gaza Strip of its people, indicating that: “There is absolutely no room to talk about resettlement, creating refugee camps, or other outdated calls, and there is no place for the Palestinians except their land.”

Al-Sudani said in a speech at the Cairo Peace Summit to discuss the situation in Palestine: “The Zionist entity has violated the International Covenant on Civil Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and more than seventy-eight Security Council resolutions related to the Palestinian issue.”

The Prime Minister added, "The Zionist entity continues to violate the Third Geneva Convention regarding Prisoners of War and the Fourth Convention, which provides protection for civilians in the occupied territories, in addition to its violation of the International Covenant on Civil Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and more than seventy-eight Security Council resolutions related to the Palestinian issue."

He stressed, "The Palestinian issue would not have reached these tragic conditions if international resolutions had been respected."/End
