APF Governance Committee Reviews Strategic Plans, Membership Developments in Geneva

Geneva: The Governance Committee of the Asia-Pacific Forum (APF) convened in Geneva to discuss several key issues related to the operations of the forum's member national institutions. The meeting also addressed the draft action plan and budget for 2025-2026.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, chaired by APF Chairperson Samar Haj Hassan, also focused on the integration of new members into the forum, the review of membership applications, and the election of representatives to various committees within both the forum and the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).

This gathering is part of the NCHR's involvement in the GANHRI 2025 Annual Meeting, being held in Geneva from March 10-12.

The Asia-Pacific Forum, founded in 1996, is a regional network consisting of national human rights institutions across the Asia-Pacific region. With 27 member institutions, the forum's core mission is to support and strengthen the efforts of national human rights bodies in promoting and safeguarding human rights within their respective countries.
