Amman: The foreign ministers of an Arab-Islamic ministerial committee have firmly rejected Israeli statements concerning the displacement of Palestinians from territories occupied since 1967. The committee, established by an extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit focused on the Gaza Strip, issued a joint statement condemning Israel's actions.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministers criticized Israeli policies and practices aimed at displacing Palestinians through expanding military operations in Gaza, imposing blockades, and targeting civilians and infrastructure. They expressed concern over actions that threaten regional and international peace and security while condemning illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank, such as settlement expansion and land seizures.

The committee called for an immediate cessation of Israel's violations of international humanitarian law and demanded accountability for potential crimes against humanity. They urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the lifting of Israeli restrictions on humanitarian aid. The ministers also highlighted the importance of supporting the Palestinian National Authority's return to Gaza and advancing efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state.

The ministers stressed that Israel's actions violate international law and the United Nations Charter. They called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to protect Palestinians' rights to remain in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and to end the Israeli occupation.

The committee reiterated that establishing an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital is the only path to a just resolution of the Palestinian issue, in line with international resolutions and human rights principles.
