Tunis: Jordanian Ambassador to Tunisia Abdullah Abu Rumman met with Abdel Rahim Suleiman, the Director-General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), to discuss strategies for enhancing media cooperation between Jordan and the union. The meeting, held at ASBU's headquarters, aimed to expand opportunities for exchanging experiences in radio and television sectors.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ambassador, accompanied by Counselor Sahar Qatarneh, emphasized Jordan's rich experience in radio and television. He highlighted the importance of ASBU as a vital platform for collaborative Arab efforts in the media sector and expressed Jordan's readiness to strengthen and develop cooperation with the union. Suleiman acknowledged Jordan's active participation in union activities and praised the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation for its distinguished membership and the contributions of Jordanian media professionals to the Arab media landscape.
On the meeting's sidelines, Abu Rumman toured the ASBU Academy, inspecting its state-of-the-art facilities, including a multi-purpose training hall, a multimedia room with advanced computers, a fully equipped television studio, and a digital radio studio. The ambassador expressed admiration for the academy's facilities and expert staff. He stressed Jordan's commitment to increasing the participation of its Radio and Television Corporation personnel in the academy's programs to stay abreast of developments in the audiovisual sector.
