Arab Parliament Stands Firm Against Palestinian Displacement Plans

Cairo: The Arab Parliament has reiterated its firm rejection of any plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their land. The legislative body reaffirmed its commitment to international law and resolutions supporting Palestinians' right to return to their homeland and live with dignity.

According to Jordan News Agency, speaking at a meeting of the Palestine Committee on Monday, ahead of an emergency session scheduled for Wednesday, Arab Parliament Speaker Mohamed Al-Yamahi called on the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities in confronting such plans, halting grave violations against the Palestinian people, and supporting humanitarian relief efforts.

Al-Yamahi stressed that the Palestinian cause remains the Arab Parliament's top priority in all its external engagements, as it seeks to rally regional and international support. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to engage with parliaments of countries that have yet to recognize Palestine, urging them to press their governments to grant formal recognition.

The speaker reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's backing of Arab positions, its support for Egypt's plan to reconstruct Gaza, and its categorical rejection of any displacement of Palestinians from their land.
