Amman: The general index rose 0.5 percent in Monday's trading, closing at 3,844 points.
According to Jordan News Agency, turnover reached JD13.7 million, with 5.4 million shares changing hands through 4,209 transactions. The services index showed significant growth, gaining 2.25 percent, while the industrial and financial indices experienced slight declines of 0.21 percent and 0.12 percent, respectively. Of the 90 companies listed, 29 recorded share-price gains, whereas 27 saw declines in their share prices.
