Bahrain Bourse hosted an awards ceremony to conclude the third edition of the Capital Markets Apprenticeship Programme, in the presence of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse.
The Capital Markets Apprenticeship programme is a capacity-building initiative aimed at developing young talent and capabilities within the capital markets sector and is aligned with Bahrain Bourse’s financial awareness initiatives.
The final ceremony honoured a total of eight interns that have completed the six-month apprenticeship program. During the ceremony, the apprentices delivered their final presentations to the CEO of Bahrain Bourse and were presented with certificates of program completion.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim emphasized that the programme aims to provide interns with key professional and soft skills and enrich their knowledge within the Capital Markets sector.
“The programme supports Bahrain Bourse’s awareness initiatives, which seeks to improve financial literacy, a key pillar in Bahrain Bourse’s strategy to reach a broader spectrum of audience,” he added.
Participants gained hands-on experience by rotating across Bahrain Bourse and Bahrain Clear during the program. Through the knowledge and expertise gained, participants were qualified to work in a variety of fields within the capital market industry.
The programme also gave participants the opportunity to connect and engage with key decision makers within the capital market industry, through roundtable discussions held with various officials and key decision makers of listed companies, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
