According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa emphasized the goal of integrating people with disabilities into families and communities, aiming to overcome obstacles and enhance their participation in various fields. She underscored the importance of cooperation and expertise exchange to promote autonomy and independence for people with disabilities.
The discussions also touched on improving access to essential services like education, healthcare, and employment, while combating discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities. The French minister emphasized the importance of shared experiences in services for people with disabilities and commended Jordan's efforts.
Separately, Bani Mustafa met with German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze, to explore joint cooperation avenues. Bani Mustafa detailed efforts in implementing Jordan's Social Protection Strategy, focusing on empowerment, dignity, opportunity, and resilience for target groups, including persons with disabilities.
The discussions included early intervention services, legislative developments, and improvements in social, educational, health, and vocational services. Bani Mustafa highlighted the role of civil society and voluntary organizations in enhancing services and programs aimed at empowering people with disabilities.
The German minister expressed a desire to enhance future cooperation, acknowledging Jordan's achievements in promoting disability rights.
