Baiyin: At least three miners were killed and 130 rescued when water surged into a coal mine in northwest China, state-run media reported on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the incident occurred late Monday at a coal mine in Baiyin City, located in China's northwest Gansu province. Local authorities mounted a rescue operation, successfully saving 130 out of the 133 workers who were at the site during the flood.
Initially, three miners were reported missing. Following extensive search efforts, the bodies of the three missing miners were recovered on Tuesday. Unfortunately, no vital signs were detected, confirming the fatalities.
