Coordination meeting held ahead of Arab-Japanese dialogue session

An Arab coordination meeting was held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League bringing together permanent representatives of the Arab member states to prepare for the third session of the ministerial meeting of the Arab-Japanese political dialogue. During the meeting, the permanent delegates were briefed on the ongoing preparations for the session to be held at the headquarters of the Arab League's headquarters next month on the sidelines of the 160th session of the League Council at the ministerial level to get positive results that serve common interests and fulfill the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of the Arab countries and Japan. The meeting was chaired by the Permanent Representative of Egypt to the League (presiding over the current session of the League Council at the ministerial level), Ambassador Mohamed Orfi. For his part, the head of the delegation of the General Secretariat, the Assistant Secretary-General - Head of the International Political Affairs Sector, Ambassador Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Manzalawi, indicated that the Arab-Japanese political dialogue at the ministerial level was established according to a memorandum of cooperation signed between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Secretary-General of the League in 2013. The first session of this dialogue was held in 2017 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, and the second session was held in 2021 via video conference technology.
