Crown Prince Al Hussein Leads Inaugural Meeting of National Council for Future Technology

Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Sunday emphasized the necessity of initiating new projects that align with technological advancements to bolster the national economy. Chairing the inaugural meeting of the National Council for Future Technology at the Prime Ministry, the Crown Prince outlined the council's primary goal of enhancing Jordan's status as a technologically advanced nation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, who chairs the council, focused on integrating the council's initiatives with current governmental projects. These projects include digital transformation, data management, developing technical skills among human resources, and expanding the use of artificial intelligence. The Crown Prince underscored the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors, leveraging Jordanian expertise from within and outside the Kingdom, and making decisive choices within strategic frameworks to achieve defined and measurable outcomes.

Prime Minister Hassan remarked that the council is poised to develop action plans aligned with priorities set by His Majesty King Abdullah II. He emphasized that the council aims to build on Jordan's significant accomplishments in the technology sector, ensuring that the country remains competitive globally and continues to contribute positively to the economy and society. The council's efforts are aligned with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the reliance on recognized Jordanian expertise and the formation of task forces specializing in various sectors. He assured that the council would establish performance evaluation metrics and project timelines. Comprising representatives from the public sector and private sector experts, the council will form specialized sub-committees tasked with providing recommendations and actionable plans.

The meeting was attended by several officials, council members, and the Director of the Office of the Crown Prince, Zaid Baqain.
