Crown Prince Engages in Diplomatic Talks at COP29 in Baku.

BAKU: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II engaged in a series of diplomatic meetings with heads of state and delegations on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. The Crown Prince's discussions emphasized Jordan's commitment to fostering bilateral relations and expanding cooperative efforts with various nations. According to Jordan News Agency, Crown Prince Al Hussein met with several prominent leaders, including Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Yemen Presidential Leadership Council Vice Chairman Abdullah Al Alimi, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Finland President Alexander Stubb, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, Rwanda President Paul Kagame, and President of the Spanish Government Pedro Sánchez. The Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II's greetings and highlighted the importance of strong bilateral ties. During his meeting with President Aliyev, Crown Prince Al Hussein praised Azerbaija n's role in hosting COP29 and underscored the significance of prioritizing climate efforts, particularly in countries hosting refugees. The conversations also addressed pressing regional issues, with the Crown Prince advocating for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. He called for heightened international humanitarian efforts in Gaza, emphasizing the need for continuous aid delivery. The Crown Prince expressed concern over the challenges faced by UNRWA in Gaza and its operational areas. He reiterated that lasting peace and security are contingent upon a viable political solution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, ensuring Palestinians' legitimate rights. The meetings were attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain.
