Amman: E-services were launched to issue permanent passports online for Jordanian citizens residing in Pakistan’s Islamabad and Cyprus’ Nicosia, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) announced on Sunday.

In a statement to “Petra,” CSPD Director General, Fahd Amoush, said Jordanians residing in Pakistan and Cyprus can submit applications to receive services to issue, renew, and replace lost or damaged Jordanian passports electronically by entering the link below:

Amoush said CSPD will examine applications to make necessary approvals in this regard, adding that the concerned Jordanian embassy will notify applicants electronically to complete the passport issuance procedures.

This newly- launched e-service provided in those two countries comes as a continuation of the CSPD’s online services project to Jordanian citizens abroad, he said.

This e-service, Amoush noted, will be applied to other countries to serve all Jordanian expatriates, which would expedite procedures for issuing passports and sparing effort for Jordanians residing abroad.
