Domestic revenues rose during the first five months of 2023 to reach JD3.792 billion, marking an increase of JD415.9 million, compared to the same period of 2022, Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday. In terms of public spending, total expenditure of the central government / budget during the January-May period 2023 stood at about JD4.298 billion, recording an increase of JD318.9 million, compared to the same period 2022. Spending on capital projects during the third and fourth quarters 2023 is of a “higher” value, given that project cycle begins during the third quarter.
