The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor on Saturday called on the United Nations to declare the Northern Gaza Strip a disaster-stricken zone and oblige Israel to stop the genocide there. It said the Israeli army carried out systematic and widespread mass and individual killings, deliberate starvation, forced mass displacement and complete destruction of what was left of the necessities of life. The Observatory said in a statement that its field team is documenting horrendous crimes against civilians in Jabalya camp and the entire northern Gaza Strip with the escalating Israeli offensive. It confirmed that more than 400,000 Palestinians are facing death by bombing or starvation in the northern Gaza Valley, where Israeli forces have prevented access of any aid since the beginning of the month, while continuing to overrun northern Gaza. The Observatory said that its field team documented hundreds of Israeli attacks and bombings that destroyed homes, shelters and streets in northern Gaza, and that continu ed non-stop for 15 days, while many victims and injured people are in the streets or stayed home for failure to take them to hospitals as Israeli forces impose a ban by fire on the movement of ambulances and civil defense crews in most parts of Jabalya and its camp. The Observatory called on the United Nations and world nations to intervene immediately to save hundreds of thousands of residents of northern Gaza, and stop the genocide that has been perpetrated by Israel for the second straight year.
