Amman: Hikma Pharmaceuticals has donated an emergency shipment of medicines worth $1 million to support relief efforts for people affected by the recent twin earthquakes in Venezuela, the company announced on Sunday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the donation was transported aboard two Jordanian humanitarian aid flights carrying medical and relief supplies to Venezuela in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
The shipment includes a broad range of essential medicines, including anti-infective treatments, pain relief medications, and pharmaceuticals for critical care, respiratory diseases, and hospital use, helping address the severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies resulting from the disaster.
Hikma said the donation reflects its continued commitment to supporting Jordanian and international humanitarian response efforts and assisting communities affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters around the world.
The company added that the initiative is aligned with its mission of providing "Better Health, Within Reach, Every Day."
