Historic Umm Qais Site to Host Giant Screen for Jordan-Argentina World Cup Match

Amman: The Khalid Bin Al-Waleed Municipality has invited citizens to support Jordan's national football team in its upcoming World Cup match against Argentina by attending a live public screening on a giant screen set up at the Umm Qais archaeological site on Sunday morning. The screening is scheduled for 5:00 a.m. Jordan time, matching the kickoff of the national squad's historic fixture.

According to Jordan News Agency, Rawya Gharaibeh, head of the municipal committee, said the initiative aims to provide an ideal atmosphere for fans to follow the historic match and back the national team's journey. She noted that choosing the ancient archaeological site of Umm Qais blends the historical value of the location with a major national sporting event.

Gharaibeh added that the municipality has prepared the venue with all necessary arrangements to ensure the comfort of attendees, emphasizing that the invitation is open to the general public to rally behind the team for the big match.
