Jordanian House Draws Thousands at World Cup in Texas

Amman: A promotional Jordanian cultural pavilion in Arlington, Texas, has drawn thousands of expatriates and international visitors on the sidelines of the 2026 World Cup, Jordan's tourism ministry said on Saturday. The "Jordanian House" initiative, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities alongside the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), features an array of cultural, artistic, and heritage activities designed to showcase the kingdom's national identity.

According to Jordan News Agency, Friday's schedule included traditional Dabke dance performances, live Arabic music, and interactive demonstrations of traditional calligraphy and mosaic crafting, featuring a performance by the Jordan Armed Forces band. The pavilion also screens live World Cup matches and hosts promotional draws and giveaways sponsored by Royal Jordanian Airlines.

The cultural showcase continued on Saturday ahead of a major public screening of the highly anticipated match between the national football team, the Nashama, and Argentina on a giant outdoor screen.

Tourism officials said the initiative aims to leverage the global sporting event to boost Jordan's international profile, highlighting its unique cultural and tourism sectors to a diverse global audience attending the tournament.
