Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Worsens as Fuel Shortage Persists: UK Minister Raises Alarm

London: UK Minister of State for Development Jenny Chapman expressed deep concern over the severe deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, noting that the enclave has not received any fuel supplies in over four months, an alarming situation that could soon lead to a full-blown catastrophe.

According to Jordan News Agency, in a post published Wednesday on her X account, Chapman stated, "The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is horrifying. No fuel has entered for 4 months," warning that this acute shortage is threatening to shut down water supply, hospitals, and ambulances.

Chapman emphasized the urgent need for action, stating, "We need a sustainable and immediate ceasefire, unrestricted aid into Gaza, and the release of all hostages." Her comments highlight the escalating crisis and the potential for severe humanitarian consequences if immediate steps are not taken to alleviate the situation.
