Amman: The General Assembly of the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) has approved its audited financial statements for 2024, the administrative report, and has mandated its Board of Directors to select auditors for the 2025 fiscal year.

According to Jordan News Agency, Chairman Eid Sweis highlighted the board's commitment to governance, the activation of organizational committees, and the establishment of a nucleus house of expertise to bolster the association's lobbying and decision-making efforts.

Intaj CEO Nidal Bitar discussed the association's initiatives and projects implemented last year, emphasizing collaborations with local and international entities. These efforts were primarily focused on building youth capacities in Jordan's southern governorates and fostering networking opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within regional and international markets.

Bitar also noted that Intaj launched several new projects in the first half of this year. These initiatives include studying the digital skills gap in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and DigSkills. Additionally, the association carried out the "SheTechs" program to support and empower women in the ICT sector. Other efforts involved a training initiative for professional technical certification in collaboration with major global companies and a project linking university students' graduation work with the private sector.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2025, the agenda includes a workshop designed to assist companies in entering the Dutch market, a visit by a high-level delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Technology, and participation in an exhibition in Damascus before the year's end.
