Integrity Commission reveals that the former Minister of Finance was brought in for violating his job duties

The Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of a summons order against the former Minister of Finance on the grounds of violating his job duties.

The Commission’s Investigation Department indicated that the judge of the Second Karkh Investigation Court decided to bring in the former Minister of Finance, after he had been negligent by the commission’s investigative committee, pointing out that he had signed a letter to allocate a plot of land in Anbar Governorate with an area of 98 dunums for another person in contrast to the investment license granted to an investor.

It added that the accused changed the letter and retracted the assignment. This led to missing the investment opportunity for the investor and not granting him permission to establish a residential project on the plot of land, despite obtaining the original approvals, explaining that the court issued the summons order, in accordance with the provisions of Article (331) of the Penal Code.
