London: Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh conducted a series of significant economic meetings with business and trade leaders in London, aiming to promote investment opportunities, strengthen economic partnerships, and attract high-quality investments to Jordan.
According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Ghazaleh participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by the British Expertise International (BEI) and The D Group under the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) program. The event saw attendance from Jordan's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Manar Dabbas, along with leading executives from sectors including infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and logistics.
The participants explored avenues to enhance investment partnerships between the private sectors of Jordan and the United Kingdom, emphasizing Jordan's strategic location as a gateway to regional markets. Abu Ghazaleh highlighted the depth of the strategic relationship between the two nations and the expanding cooperation across various economic and investment fields.
Abu Ghazaleh underscored Jordan's promising investment opportunities across key sectors, supported by a competitive business environment and modern economic legislation. He noted that engagements like these offer an essential platform for direct communication with business leaders, investors, and international economic institutions, showcasing Jordan's investment potential and contributing to economic growth and employment opportunities for Jordanians.
Ambassador Dabbas reiterated the importance of building on the strong Jordanian-British relationship to further economic and investment cooperation. He stressed Jordan's commitment to expanding partnerships with the British business community and attracting additional investments to the Kingdom.
Dr. David Landsman, Chief Executive Officer of British Expertise International, expressed the meeting's value in exploring cooperation prospects between the private sectors in Jordan and the United Kingdom. He expressed confidence in the discussions' potential to generate new and productive collaboration avenues.
Additionally, Abu Ghazaleh held meetings with the UK Trade Envoy to Jordan, Kuwait, and the Palestinian Territories, Lord Ian McNicol, and representatives of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce in London. Discussions focused on enhancing economic and trade cooperation, promoting Jordan's investment opportunities, and exploring new partnerships between the business communities of both countries.
These meetings are part of the Ministry of Investment's efforts to promote Jordan's investment opportunities internationally, engage with leading economic institutions and global business communities, and position the Kingdom as an attractive destination for investments that support economic growth and job creation.
