GAZA CITY: Israel conducted a series of strikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 24 Palestinians and injuries to numerous others. The attacks, which targeted various regions within the enclave, have heightened tensions in the area.
According to Jordan News Agency, Israeli shelling early Thursday morning claimed the lives of eight Palestinians and left others injured in the eastern region of Deir al-Balah, located in the central Gaza Strip. The strikes continued throughout the day, impacting multiple locations.
In a separate incident, four Palestinians were killed and ten others injured following an Israeli strike on a group in the al-Shati camp, situated to the west of Gaza City. Additionally, two individuals lost their lives near the Palestine roundabout, also located in the western part of the strip.
Further north in Jabalia al-Nazla, an Israeli strike on a residential area resulted in the deaths of ten residents, compounding the casualties from the day's events. The escalation in violence marks a significant increase in hostilities in the region, leading to international calls for restraint and a de-escalation of tensions.
