Jerusalem: Dozens of right-wing Israelis and settlers stormed into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Monday under heavy police escort, the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf (endowments) Department said. The settlers breached the compound from the Magharebah Gate, engaging in provocations and performing prayers while police enforced strict security at the gates of the walled Old City of Jerusalem to prevent worshippers from entering the complex, which is one of Islam’s holiest sites.

According to Jordan News Agency, in the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale search-and-arrest operation across cities and villages, detaining 40 “wanted” Palestinians, including former prisoners. The occupation army also distributed stop-work orders for three homes under construction and a concrete factory in Hajja village, located east of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, as reported by the local council.
