Jerash: Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Yazan Khudair, has announced that this year's festival will host 213 events featuring Jordanian, Arab, and international artists across more than 15 locations within the ancient city of Jerash.
According to Jordan News Agency, Khudair made this announcement during a meeting chaired by Dr. Malek Khraisat, the Governor of Jerash. The meeting focused on reviewing the key features of the festival's new edition and finalizing preparations for its inauguration. Khudair highlighted that the festival will include activities at the Hippodrome theater, which will showcase cultural and folkloric performances, alongside a market for local crafts and products.
Discussions also covered the organizational, service, and logistical readiness necessary to ensure the event's success for the benefit of Jordan. Dr. Khraisat emphasized the festival's role as a cultural and national platform that reflects Jordan's identity and heritage. He stressed the importance of integrated efforts at the official level to complete all preparations according to high organizational standards, ensuring a comprehensive environment that guarantees visitor comfort and an appropriate climate for the events.
The meeting further addressed the progress of preparations, such as the readiness of event venues, the development of entrances, the completion of service facilities, and the implementation of an electronic ticketing system. These measures are designed to facilitate visitor flow and enhance service quality, ensuring the festival's timely launch and reinforcing its status as a prominent cultural festival in the region.
