Amman: The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), in cooperation with the Royal Department for Environment Protection, has shut down an unlicensed facility in Amman that was producing white cheese under poor sanitary conditions and storing rotten products infested with insects.
According to Jordan News Agency, the JFDA stated that the premises were sealed with red wax, the owners were referred to the competent authorities, and five tonnes of products were destroyed. The administration emphasized that inspection campaigns will continue to ensure safe and sound food for citizens, urging the public to buy such products only from licensed and trusted sources.
The JFDA also called on citizens to report any concerns, inquiries, or complaints through its free hotline 117114.
